Penza – the city of labor prowess

Background. The article discusses the everyday work of the inhabitants of Penza during the Great Patriotic War, their contribution to the Great Victory. Materials and methods. The issue is implemented on the basis of the analysis of documents from the State Archives of Penza Region and other reliable sources, including those first introduced into wide scientific circulation. Results. The work of Penza enterprises for defense during the Great Patriotic War, the labor activity of Penza residents, the contribution of the region in providing the front with military and other products are characterized. Conclusions. The inhabitants of Penza and Penza region made a significant contribution to the Victory over Nazi Germany.
